As the Art Director for the Wingmall app re-launch on Facebook and TikTok, I provided visual direction, designed key visuals, and created storyboards for the motion team. Collaborating with the creative team, I ensured cohesive social media contents. I developed a comprehensive visual direction that aligned with the app’s goals and target audience.
By combining market research, design trends, and user feedback, I created visually captivating and user-friendly content that enhanced the app’s overall look and feel on Facebook and TikTok.
Challenge
The design challenge for the Wingmall app re-launch on Facebook and TikTok is to create visually captivating and engaging content that aligns with the brand identity, captures the attention of the target audience while establishing a distinct brand presence in a competitive market.
Solution
Our strategic solution involves a comprehensive rebranding approach that encompasses both the Wingmall app and logo. By modernizing the visual identity and aligning it with the app's evolution, we will create a strong and memorable brand presence with engaging social media content with the consistent use of the new brand colors.
Introducing the new app
I led the art direction and execution of an upbeat teaser video, highlighting the upcoming Wingmall app's transformation into a more modern, functional, and convenient platform. Through creative direction and collaboration with the motion team, I ensured that the video effectively communicated the enhanced features and user experience of the app, capturing the excitement and anticipation of users.
As the Art Director, I led the creative direction in creating an how-to video for the new Wingmall app, focusing on registration and usage instructions while showcasing its modern, functional, and convenient interface. I oversaw the development of the video’s aesthetic, including the selection of colors, typography, and motion graphics, to effectively convey the app’s key features and benefits. By effectively demonstrating the app’s user-friendly interface and highlighting its unique functionalities, the how-to video not only educates users on registration but also sparks their curiosity and interest, ultimately driving brand trial and encouraging viewers to download the new Wingmall app.
I collaborated closely with the marketing team to understand their objectives and translate them into visually compelling concepts. Leading the design team, I provided clear direction and guidance to ensure that the visual direction was consistently applied across all digital assets. This involved establishing design guidelines, such as color palettes, typography, and imagery styles, to maintain brand consistency and strengthen brand recognition. By overseeing the creation of monthly social media content and ensuring its alignment with the brand's visual direction, my role aimed to enhance Wingmall's online presence, increase engagement with the target audience, and ultimately drive conversion and brand loyalty.
